My regular readers know I have one goal for this blog: To represent many different forms of healing, varied teachers and personal development resources so ANYONE that visits can find something they resonate with. When you resonate with something you truly FEEL a deep connection and you know it is something you will gain value from by pursuing. EVERYONE is different and even as you go through different phases in your life techniques, modalities, teachers will change depending on WHERE you are and WHAT you need. It is important to be conscious of where you are in your life and the fact that there is more to you than skin, bones and the automatic pilot you may have been on. There are so many different healing modalities I have come across in my studying and researching these last two years. NOTHING thus far has resonated so deeply as The Reconnection. This past weekend I attended a 2 day (20 hour) seminar in NYC that changed the way I look at life and today I want to share that with you. Hang onto your seats! 
My Spiritual Journey and The Reconnection
About nine months ago I realized my husband would be working 5 hours away for a few months and decided it was the perfect time to pursue a connection with spirituality. I figured the extra time at night and the ability to wake up in the middle of the night to record thoughts and/or dreams was better done when I wouldn’t be waking him up as well. Little did I know WHAT I was about to embark on. Yes, Akemi yesterday on the phone you said, “You asked for it and YOU GOT IT” and I could not put it any better than that! I cannot possible sum up the last 9 months and all that occurred to lead me where I am right now… maybe that will be my NEXT ebook! In my post “Gratitude, Gratitude and More Gratitude” I thank the people that most contributed to my spiritual growth in the last nine months; Slade, Akemi, Andrea, Angela, Paula, Liara, Ray – thank you again — you all are the reason I am where I am today and I am forever grateful! I want to preface the next part by saying I realize this work might not resonate with some and might even scare others but this is the work that resonates with ME and I hope you can look at it from that perspective.
I wrote about Dr. Eric Pearl as one of my Heroes for the Heroes of Healing Group Writing Project. The form of healing he uses is called “The Reconnection” and it is like no other. Please read my post on him on “Heroes” to read detailed information or visit “The Reconnection website“. Yes, it is considered an energy form of healing but it also involves light and frequencies that we still do not fully understand. I DO know I went into the seminar knowing it was powerful because after reading the book and having “the healings” as well as a “Reconnection” done there was no denying it. I DID NOT expect to come out of there and start a healing practice which is what I am in the process of doing.
So what happened in those 2 days?
It began when I sat down in the room full of 78 classmates and about 7 teachers. I have never been a person to “Feel energy”. Sure, I’ve been around someone and gotten a “good or bad energy vibe” but never have I experienced a whole room that felt as if it was vibrating. Another classmate described his experience as a constant buzzing, others felt tingling and different sensations. While simple reading the book “The Reconnection” I had experiences that made me question how I looked at life and healing. When I had the healing and Reconnection sessions I felt sensations such as someone touching my face, rapid eye movement, vibrations and movements inside my arms that I had never experienced, sudden heat and cold and many emotions. The overwhelming sensation and emotion I feel when undergoing reconnective healing is peace and love.
I did not know how they would go about “activating my hands”. Simply by being in the room with so much energy and following directions by holding my hands a foot apart in natural anatomical position I began to FEEL energy between them. I know, sounds weird right? BELIEVE ME it FELT like nothing I have ever experienced. My hands were tingling and we PLAYED with energy — yep PLAYED, stretched and manipulated it so we would get a feel for JUST what we were working with.
I found it very interesting that what took them about 20 hours to teach us takes them about 2 hours to teach children. Why? Because of all our preconceived thoughts and teachings a lot of time is spent on research, results and answering questions. Kids accept it and enjoy playing with the energy and are thrilled that they can use it to help others. Dr. Pearl has been working with Reconnective Healing since 1993. His journey from a very successful chiropractor to discovering “The Reconnection” was a surprise to say the least. After years of research and the need to find out WHAT it was he finally decided to take Dr. Chopra’s advice to him and “remain childlike” and not to question it anymore. There are over 42,000 practitioners worldwide and the healings have been miraculous. Cancer, AIDS, MS, deformities, depression, drug dependencies — you name it and Reconnective Healing has healed it. The rub for some — when you have a healing there is no way to know WHAT will be healed.
As Dr. Pearl says: “If you are lucky your healing will come in the form you anticipate.
If you’re really lucky, your healing will come in a form you’ve not even dreamed of
- one which the Universe specifically has in mind for you”.
After the first day of the seminar I felt electrified and energized even though it had been a very long day. We had arrived at 8:45AM and got out at 6:30PM. Ray (my husband) and I had the weekend to ourselves at my mother and step-dad’s place in the city and I was excited to try my new toy/talent/skill on him. I knew Ray was skeptical but also was aware he knows me better than anyone and that I am not a woo-woo kind of person. I had him write about his experience because I did not want to cloud the event with my observations:
I laid on the bed in the middle of the room expecting a nice “humming” feeling. In seconds, I couldn’t restrain laughter at the amazing sensations I was experiencing. From my heart, through my esophagus, up the left side of my face, there was a pulling sensation, almost like a vacuum through my body out the top of my head. The left side of my mouth felt as if strings were connected to my upper lip and someone was tugging gently and deliberately. Knowing I wasn’t “supposed” to laugh, Jen finally spoke and said “you’re not supposed to be laughing” and she gently caressed both of my temples with her middle fingers in a stroking motion to say “calm down”. Except, umm, she didn’t. It wasn’t until two days later after her explaining that people in the seminar reported sensations of being touched that I realized I needed to ask her. “Why would I touch you? You don’t touch people with reconnective healing”, she said. I laughed and said, “Yeah, but you did with me though, just a little in the beginning, on the sides of my head when you ran your fingers, like this?” No, indeed, she did not touch me. Yikes.
As she moved around the bed. I could almost tell where she stood because different parts of me felt “activated”. I felt as though something was passing through my body and out of it in her direction. It had begun with my head and moved to my chest, my feet, and then my heart. My emotions began to feel incredibly intense. At one point, I felt “something” passing through my heart and my emotions became intent on saying “I am SO PROUD of you. I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU”. Love and warmth was passing through me as never before. As quickly as it came, the intensity left but a lingering sensation of having been detoxified remained. When I finally sat up, I felt as if my body and soul had been detoxified. My frequency had changed to a faster rate and tremendous calmness radiated through my body.I’ve always believed in the power of the mind and the possibility of forces like this but I had never experienced it until Jen worked on me that day.
No, I did not touch Ray. People experience many different sensations while undergoing Reconnective healing and no, you do not even touch the person you are working on. In fact as an experiment we did during the seminar proved — the further away in general the stronger the sensations. During the weekend people saw, felt, smelled, heard and tasted things during their sessions. It is a powerful undeniable feeling and you don’t even have to believe in it for it to work. Incidentally I did learn that laughter is another very common reaction — sorry Ray for saying “don’t laugh”.
What do I feel when facilitating a “healing”?
I feel conscious. I feel awakened. I feel like I am connecting with the “client” and that love and goodness is all around and inside me. I feel tingling. I feel a sensation of strings connecting me to the person. I feel aware of how connected I am to the Universe. I feel as Dr. Pearl says that “healing” is almost a limited word as to WHAT is happening.
Accessing this energy has allowed me to get to a deep level of meditation within a minute — much deeper than I was ever able to access before. I was trained in self healing and distance healing as well this weekend and feel an overwhelming sense of calmness and connectivity when I utilize these. I feel focused, alive and KNOW I am oh so much more than my body!
Research, moving forward, what does it all mean for Heal Pain Naturally?
There has been a lot of research done on The Reconnection by Dr. Gary Schwarz at The University of Arizona, Dr. William Tiller from the Engineering Department at Stanford University and by Dr. Korotkov of St. Petersburg University in Russia. Much of it will be released soon on The Reconnection website. Right now you can go and look at an Kirlian photograph of Dr. Pearl’s hands that clearly shows SOMETHING is going on that has never been seen before. You can also check the press page for new articles. The newer research is nothing short of amazing and will be opening doors for even more people becoming involved when released. “The Reconnection” work has already been backed by Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Christina Northrop, Dr. Wayne Dyer, the above professors and Drs. and many more prominent people. Who was at the seminar? Was it all ex-hippies and woo woo people? Nope, not at ALL. I met mostly doctors, nurses, psychologists, chiropractors and massage therapists and assorted other professionals.
So by now you are either really interested or think “poor Jenny – she must have bonked her head”. Believe me — I did not expect to experience miracles this past weekend and I did. I did not expect to be moved to tears by the experiences talked about but I was. I certainly did not want ANOTHER thing put on my plate of “to dos”. I came out of there KNOWING I have to do this work. I feel it will help my writing and my life as a whole. I am excited beyond belief to facilitate healing in others but I KNOW it is something WAY beyond me doing the healings. I am receiving and allowing the person to receive. Adverse effects? There have been no reports of them even with 42,000 people practicing. Yes, it is something we are still learning about but isn’t medical research and the body as a whole something we are continually learning about? We only know what 8% of DNA is accountable for and 10% of what the brain does — those numbers leave a lot of room for more information to be discovered!
Why is this different from other energy healing modalities? Can anyone learn this? What is the difference between “Reconnective Healing” and “The Reconnection”? What can I expect during a healing session? You can go to the Reconnection website’s FAQ for those and more answers. How do you find a licensed practitioner? Click here for the directory and make sure you use one that is legitimate.
So, does this mean this is The Reconnection blog now? Nope, not at all. I will have a separate page on The Reconnection to promote learning about it, post testimonials as they come in and to promote my practice. I still believe everyone needs to pursue what resonates within and follow their own path. I will offer distance healing through my Reconnection page as well. My journey led me here and boy am I excited for what’s next! Life is all about learning, experiencing and LIVING and BEING. I am so very grateful for my dis-eases because they led me to where I am right now. In a place of gratitude, love, openness and amazement for this grand Universe!

Oh I do love those synchronicities. “Reamin childlike” is something I remind myself of – having 2 kids sometimes makes that easy and sometimes feels like it makes it hard “when I gotta be MOM”.
I didn’t know you were a 2nd degree Reiki practitioner. I met a few Reiki practitioners there this weekend. The ones I talked to said it was “different” energy from Reiki. Being the first tangible energy I have been able to work with — I was blown away by feeling anything – much less something SO SO strong.

Guarded but open sounds good to me. That was where Ray was until he experienced it — and he had several months of me talking about it beforehand. I know this will seem too “out there” for some and I respect that. Even though reading Dr. Pearl’s book, the healings and actual “Reconnection” were amazing experiences I didn’t fully grasp this SO strongly until I was sitting in the seminar.
These last 9 months have changed the way I look at everything spiritual with this last weekend being the cherry on top! This post took all week to write because I didn’t even know HOW to explain what I experienced. I must have scrapped 5 other drafts…. finally I just had to get it out there and let go of the fact that many might think I’ve gone off the deep end after reading it. I know what I experienced and it changed my life for the better — I am now in gratitude for this gift and looking forward to where this next step will bring me in my spiritual journey! This IS as surreal as it gets right?

I attended the Reconnective healing seminar with Jenny this past weekend in NYC. I concur with everything she is saying. It blew my mind! I had a similar kind of experience that her husband described while I was on the table with one of our teachers. The feeling of energy moving through me at an accelerated speed, wanting to laugh, having parts of my body move without my conscious awareness or controlling of those movements. It was as if something else was making my jaw move from side to side, and my arms flail. I felt the most profound sense of joy- and also humor, and understanding. I saw the most vivid colors. The feeling was so overwhelmingly beautiful that I found tears streaming down my face, and then I just sobbed through no conscious effort on my part- and it was again something I could not control. It was a deep, satisfying sobbing. The energy I felt through my third eye chakra was still just beaming through me, after I got off the table. I cannot stop thinking about my experience, and am excited to be able to bring this frequency to my patients.

I just did a long distance healing on someone I know and a healing in my new space on a very close friend and both had dramatic results. I hesitate to do one on my mom because I KNOW what dis-eases she has and am concerned I will be too “attached” to the results. Before I do a healing session I consciously “connect” with the person and feel the attachment and love for them. Basically in my head I ask God to use me to give the person who I am working on the healing they most need. I know the power of the subconscious mind and wonder if I worked on my mom if I could consciously and subconsciously “let go” of the information I have to best serve her. So… I do think it is possible to receive a session from a friend. In some ways I felt so much love when I was working with my friends that why wouldn’t that translate into a good session….. If your friend has been doing this a while it would be great to have it done by her because you would feel comfortable with her and being able to relax makes the session that much more enjoyable. Hope that answers the question — I know I kind of went all over the place…. I would love to give my mom a healing in the future and I am confident that as I do this longer “letting go” of attached results will only become easier – gotta get that ego OUT of the way! I am so happy you resonated with this work. The book and sessions are amazing and I would love to hear what you think as you progress on your journey. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi, I attended the same seminar as Jenny, and must say that Reconnective Healing is truly amazing. I had felt an energy just from reading Eric Pear’s book, “THE RECONNECTION”, but knew there was something more… and there was! THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING! Until one really witnesses something first hand, do they truly believe. This is the case with Reconnective Healing. Until you witness these “new frequencies” first hand, only then will you realize how powerful they really are, and be able to utilize the full potential of the new frequencies. I for one have had a renewed sense of vitality since my initial healing at the seminar. I have discarded other healing methods, like chakra clearing, crystal healing, and Qi Gong. They just seem unnecessary and obsolete. Every facet of my life, whether it be career, relationships, etc., everything and everyone is better. The most remarkable thing is the amount of synchronicities, and divine messages that I have received since the seminar. It appears as if everything is a message, in songs, numbers, conversations, clouds, whatever. My intuition has increased exponentially! I have also developed the strength to realize my life’s purpose– being a messenger of the light. In actuality, that is the highest purpose one can serve– surrender oneself to service to others for the greater good of humanity. Regardless of what vehicle I may decide to use, literature, music, or healing practice, I had that ‘Eureka’ moment after I experienced the healing, that stated to me empatically, that this is indeed my path, and I am prepared to walk it. They say that when something evolves, everything around it evolves. After seeing how things are since the reconnective healing seminar, I know that the aforementioned statemnet is true. Furthermore, everything that Jenny has said is true; as I personally experienced all the above, and more!

It was great to meet you in NYC and thank you for sharing your powerful experience with Reconnective Healing. I am so happy everything has been moving ahead so well for you! I am in the process of setting up a practice space and it has been amazing that everything I say ‘I need …” suddenly appears. From the massage table, little lamp table, and rose colored curtains — everything appeared donated to me as soon as I knew what I needed…. I am excited and am definitely going to pursue distance healing as well since my first experience with this was a very powerful one! I too KNOW I have to help others to heal and am still figuring out the vehicle myself. I was looking around for blogs by Reconnection practitioners and found your site. I also was in that November class in NYC! I have started a practice of doing this work and am just as amazed as you that this is what we find ourselves doing with our lives based on that one lifepath altering weekend. Even though I have no doubt that this is what I’m supposed to be doing, I still struggle with how I know this looks to other people who think I’ve lost touch with my former reality. Oh well – gotta do what you gotta do — I know this is the future of medicine. I have read so many books on physics and quantum activity that my head hurts!
So thanks for your telling of your experience in NYC. It was a nice little re-charge for me as I go through all the work of setting up my new healing center to get this work out there. My very best wishes to you for a successful and rewarding practice.

I stopped worrying about “what people think” about the work. There are those not ready to hear about it and as science releases more and more studies more people will open up. We know first hand because we live these healings on a daily basis and it has been so wonderful and beautiful to see not only clients but close friends around me heal with this work. And you should SEE my house plants!

I finally got my website up this week. Plenty of tweaking left to do but it gives a good idea of what I’m doing.
Yes, I did take level III training. Gettint The Reconnection done on me was such a powerful experience, I had to learn how to do it myself. I almost vibrated off the massage table — I saw swirling geometric waves of energy all around me. It was enough to make me change the course of my life.
