Inspiring Interview with Liara Covert of Dreambuilders

liara-outside-smallIt is my pleasure today to present an interview with the ever inspiring, wonderfully poetic Liara Covert of Dreambuilders Australia. She will be talking about her new book, Self Disclosure: Changes From Within as well as take us on a journey of its creation process. I have learned a lot from Liara over the last eighteen months or so and it is a distinct pleasure to bring you this interview. Liara is beautiful inside and out and I would welcome comments and encourage you to check out her blog Dreambuilders Australia as well as her book Self Disclosure: Changes From Within.

Jenny: Liara, I have read your Dreambuilders Australia blog for a while now and have found MANY inspiring posts. How long have you been blogging?

Liara: This blog was born in early 2007. It goes through degrees of transformation to encourage readers create harmony and reconnect with intuition. You might say its a symbiotic relationship to nurture authentic power.

Jenny: What draws your readers?

Liara: They like shock value, self-help material, and opportunities for dream analysis. The blog challenges readers to explore reasons for beliefs and assumptions so people uncover their own misunderstandings. They are reminded they always have choices to detach from or abandon ways of seeing. The blog encourages visitors they do not have to feel trapped in a mindset. Exchanges invite readers to expand consciousness and become aware of nonphysical assistance. People discover it is impossible to stretch spiritually and remain unchanged.

Jenny: What was the inspiration for your book?

Liara: At the front of the Self-Disclosure: Changes from Within, readers find a list of 144 inspirations who helped inspire the project. They and others are quoted later in the book. Each inspiration is also a guide whose words are gifts of timeless wisdom at any stage of a soulful journey. The inspirations are diverse.

Jenny: Why these particular choices?

Liara: The quotes and related section context speak for themselves. I also relate to aspects of each life story. Readers are also drawn to particular names on the list for their own reasons and they ask me specific queries.

Jenny: Are the themes covered in the book similar to those in your blog?

Liara: Both the Dreambuilders Australia blog and Self-Disclosure arise from practical life experience. As I deepen awareness, and people share experiences with me, my writing helps people realize everyone evolves together.

Readers of book and blog hopefully appreciate the beauty of life, even if they are not yet ready or willing to change anything about themselves. Some people do grow alert. Being aware offers the power to change.

The book itself shares stages of a journey into consciousness. Some sharing here is mystical. Perspectives shared are courageous. They invite the reader to explore what it means to live a truly empowered life.

Jenny: If you had to sum up what the core meaning was that you hoped readers would come away with after reading your book, what would it be?

Liara:

Anything is possible. What you see, think and feel is not what actually is.

You are worthy of your life and everything that is happening right now.

You can wish for a fairytale and create it. You can believe you know everything, and find you know nothing.

liarabookcoverJenny: The book cover is beautiful, does it have significance?

Liara: Different symbols provoke thought. The blue poppy in particular is the national flower of Bhutan. To some, this poppy is mythical. It grows in high altitudes and it is said that only those who believe themselves worthy ever see it in the wild. To come full circle, every soul benefits from learning what it means to be a spiritual person. The book evokes awakenings. It invites readers to realize everyone is worthy. Its a matter of being honest with the true self.

Jenny: Are there lessons in here that people can apply to their own lives?

Liara: Readers embark on a journey beyond their conditioning. They gain insight into the universe. The Universe does not permit anyone to run away from lessons he needs to learn. Just when you believe you gain layers of wisdom, you are challenged gain to know and trust. As you encourage readers of your blog, healing comes from within when a person is ready to explore and except inner power.

Jenny: I think it is so beautiful to witness more and more people awakening into their own power. It is my greatest joy in being a healer and a mentor. This seems like an excellent book to get as a present. Does it ship all over the world?

Liara: Curiously perhaps, I was born in Canada, live in Australia, have a U.S. publisher and international promotion. The book can indeed be shipped anywhere. The link is on the Dreambuilders Australia blog front page.

Jenny: What else would you like to share about Self-Disclosure?

Liara: Each chapter of Self-Disclosure opens with lessons related to that chapter and ends with ‘end of section’ questions on specific themes. The end of the book offers three longer questionnaires. This kind of material is useful for a reader’s personal journal, as well as group learning in a workshop or retreat setting.

Jenny: What’s next for you Liara?

Liara: Learning to stay grateful where I am. I still make choices every moment. The journey I am on continues to be increasingly deep and powerful. All roads lead to the same place. What is humbling is to realize I never left.

Jenny: Thank you Liara. The way you speak and write is always poetic to me. I always look forward to your words and I thank you for sharing them with my readers. Please take time and visit Liara at Dreambuilders and find out more about her book Self Disclosure: Changes from Within.

  1. Liara Covert says:

Jenny, thanks for such an uplifting interview. Your writing and other projects inspire people to realize healing from within is a such meaningful, life-transforming process. Similar to what echoes in your own sharing, life experience continues to open my senses. Intuition prompts me to encourage others to believe in their own awakening process, however they perceive it.

  2. Hi Liara,

It was my pleasure. We share similar passions and I have found your words very inspiring and useful in my own life. Ahhhh… awakening is BEAUTIFUL isn’t it? :-) I feel I went through the next stage this past weekend and I do not think I have stopped smiling since> :-) Life can be SOOOO easy and beautiful and in that recognition comes relief and power. Your book can help bring that out in people and for that it is PRICELESS.

I wish you huge success with this and with all you do Liara.

    Love,
    Jenny

  3. Thanks for sharing this interview Jenny, I have seen Liara’s comments on other blogs I visit too so it sounds like I need to check out her blog. And so happy to hear your workshop went well! I think you will have many more…

  5. Hi Lisa,
Yes, you would love Liara’s blog and writing. :-)

I am so happy the workshop was fine and even more happy with all the networking at the Spiritual Arts Fair. SUCH wonderful people and the energy there is STILL affecting how I feel — WONDERFUL 3 days later! Friday a few of my girlfriends and I go to see a Shaman who spoke at the fair speak at one of the colleges in town and we are excited for that as well. It was an intention of mine for this year to get involved in the spiritual community here and WOW am I glad I have! :-)

Thanks Lisa — I always love hearing from you and I really appreciate your support. I can see doing lots more workshops as well. :-)

    Love,
    Jenny

  6. Hi Lance,

I, too have learned much from Liara. She writes so beautifully and her words are so wise and give me MANY A-Ha moments! :-)

Lance – ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is possible. Miracles happen every day and now they are just something I EXPECT! Life can be so easy and we humans live in our heads and tend to complicate things. The more I learn the happier I am and the less I have to “work” and I can just “be”. It is a truly beautiful thing and while I had heard people say that for 2 years now — I don’t think it was up until the last few weeks that I “got it” and live from that daily.

I am so grateful for your support and kindness Lance. :-)

    Love,
    Jenny

  7. Liara Covert says:

Dear Jenny, It makes sense to share as you learn. As you empower others and encourage them to explore things they were unaware of or resisted, someone somewhere is always helping you. This is part of the cycle of energy. As you attune to it, you realize you are part of the never-ending circle of life.

Lisa, your blog teaches readers wonderful things. You are a blessing and the universe and beyond.

Lance, the thought provoking quotes you post and interviews you highlight are themselves menaingful teachers. You remind each person to create space for expansion. New information is like food for the soul. It awakens inner knowing.
