Hi Lawrence, Thanks for your comments. I believe the mind is our #1 healing tool. I healed myself of chronic pain by training my mind to be conscious, mindful, grateful and forgiving. I don't know if we'll ever know everything there is to know about the mind and body. I wish doctors gave more options and weren't so quick to only recommend medications. There are so many means to heal oneself... Thanks again, Jenny

Hi Jenny,

this is really interesting take on modern medicine.

I also belief that our inner state of mind has a large contributing factor to healing. This is something that even modern medicine cannot fully explain.

Hi Mike,
Thanks so much for your comments. This is an area I am very passionate about partly because if I had followed my doctors advice and STAYED on these medications I would have been in MUCH worse shape today. Also the amount of people that are on these pills is SCARY. I am sorry for the loss of your job due to side effects. Side effects of prescription drugs can be just as or even more dangerous than what you are trying to treat. I wish you all the best. Thanks for your kind words. Gratefully, Jenny

Jennifer,
What an insightful post. Right you are about medications in general, and how careful we need to be with them. Unfortunately medicine is ruled by the big drug companies, and often doctors need to over prescribe to avoid malpractice issues.
I've never had to use pain meds, however some very harsh side effects from a medication I was on caused me to loose my career, it was that bad!

Thanks for sharing and for pointing out that there are alternatives for us!

Mike
