This time of the year is when most in the US stop and pay thanks for all that is good in their life and for their family. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday but I believe in giving thanks all year round — EVERY single day. Luciano from LiteMind is having a contest where you share your best personal excellence tip and my entry was on gratitude. I have written many posts on gratitude as it is the first G in my Paging Me System and was crucial in my healing. I would also like to take this time to give thanks to the newest blogs I have taken to reading on a regular basis — all of which offer inspiring words by wonderful writers. Lastly but not least I would like to thank the teachers from “The Reconnection” seminar for their work.
Lite Mind Contest
Luciano’s contest at LiteMind ends this Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving) so if you want to enter I would visit his site soon! LiteMind is a blog that aims to explore ways to use our minds efficiently. Luciano has many posts well worth reading including:

Einstein’s Secret to Amazing Problem Solving (And Ten Ways You Can Use It)
My entry for his contest was on gratitude and is as follows:
Practice Gratitude – Paying gratitude for what you have shifts your subconscious mind from lack to abundance allowing for more good to come. I say my gratitude list to myself in the morning and before bed to ensure I recognize what IS going right in my life and all that I have. In puts me in a positive state of mind and just as a bad mood can snowball so can a positive mood when you begin to realize JUST how fortunate you are.
Past Gratitude Posts from Heal Pain Naturally
The ‘Paging Me System” — A Methods to Heal Pain Naturally — which features a poem on this system. My verses on gratitude are as follows:
G is for Gratitude for EVERYTHING
My favorite healing tool of all
because when you stop to FEEL all that is good
you can suddenly appear 10 feet tall!
From the air you breathe, people you love, having clothes and food
you can suddenly realize abundance is all around.
When you stop and really EXPERIENCE this at its deepest level
more goodness is sure to abound.

I guess it’s pretty evident I like gratitude, huh? Honestly I did not even realize HOW many posts I had written about gratitude until I looked them up for this one. It displays what a truly important part it has been in my life these last 2 years. Please take the time and pursue at least one post above whose title resonated with you.
Blogs
I have written a few lists of bloggers I enjoy and read regularly. From the posts above “Heal Pain Naturally Celebrates 100th Post and 1Year Anniversary” and “Gratitude Gratitude and More Gratitude” and additionally “The Heroes of Healing Group Writing Project” you can get an idea of my favorite bloggers over the last 2 years. I now would like to list the ones I haven’t mentioned yet but have started reading over the past several months that are AWESOME and worth checking out. Luciano from Lite Mind above is also one of those bloggers!
Lance at Jungle of Life has a wonderful sense of humor and writes about life, money/business and personal growth. On Sundays he posts his “Sunday Thought for the Day” which is sure to inspire you and make you think. Another recent one to take a look at is: “Does Fear Hold you Back?“. Thanks Lance for your always encouraging words and for the sense of community you have at your blog!
Marelisa at Abundance Blog writes very in depth posts. Marelisa offers tips on increasing your creativity and also resources and tips on increasing your productivity and simplifying your life. A couple of good posts to start with are: “Six Tips to Make Ideas Happen” and “18 Ways to be Uber Creative“. Marelisa also is a lawyer and maintains a wonderful relationship with her readers. Thanks Marelisa for your creative ideas and for doing such a wonderful job researching topics.
Robin at Let’s Live Forever just inspired me to make my first audio online with her “Bloggers Recording Project“. If you have a blog and want to introduce it head on over to Let’s Live Forever for instructions… the project is open until December 8th. Robin write about living forever if we want to and exploring IF we want to. She is extremely creative and another wonderful post to begin with is “Staying Young“. Thank you Robin for inspiring me to research making audios and for encouraging me to want to live forever!
Vered writes 2 blogs. She has become a very successful mommy blogger at Mom Grind but she writes about MUCH more than just “mommying”. She has a very good sense of humor and way of looking at life. I love her post that is a tribute to her children, “I Am Watching You“. Up To Us is the other blog Vered writes for and it is a very informative social networking community for parents. A post to start with is “Kids have TVs in Their Room Now? Great“. Thank you Vered for showing me what a wonderful community a blog can have and for your candid view on life!
Thank you Luciano, Lance, Marelisa, Robin and Vered for all your writing and the community you keep with your readers. You are all an inspiration to me!
Reconnection Teachers
If you read my last post “The Reconnection — A Healing Modality Like No Other” you know a few weeks back I had a life transforming weekend. The post took me days to write because I knew there would be no way to fully do my weekend justice. After posting I realized I had left out a key factor that made the weekend what it was. The teachers that Dr. Eric Pearl has spreading his work are amazing people! The class could have seemed WAY TOO serious considering we were talking about healing, spirituality and more over the weekend. Instead they encapsulated Dr. Chopra’s words to Dr. Pearl, “remain childlike”. We laughed, we asked LOTS of questions, we shared experiences and we practiced. The teacher’s all have a love for this work even though they mostly began hesitant and some in pure denial this work could be real. I would like to thank and link to some of the amazing teachers that were there:
Doug DeVito was the head teacher. With his professional background in business and marketing at Disney, Proctor & Gamble, and AT&T among other Fortune 100 companies – not the person I expected to be heading this class. His humor, experience and love and passion for the Reconnection work shone through. He answered MANY questions and was a wonderful speaker and leader of this seminar.
Kelly Woodruff — Was the assistant teacher and he kept us having fun. Kelly is a fabulous designer and excellent speaker. He also talked to us a little bit about Reconnective Yoga which they have just begun to teach and can deepen your yoga practice.
Holly Hawkins — I had emailed with Holly before I went so it was a pleasure meet her in person. Holly is the head of the children’s Reconnective Kids Program. She has a deep passion for the work and as a former teacher has a gift for working with children.
There were other teachers who were wonderful as well! Thank you to Kaille, Pat and the other teachers….. you were wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet you all! Thank you for spreading this important work with such enthusiasm and obvious passion.
Yea! The kid’s school pictures came out awesome this year — just ANOTHER thing to be grateful for! I could go on and on about people and things I am grateful for. I am truly blessed in so many ways! I am very grateful I get to spend thanksgiving with Ray’s family and for our kids get to see their 2nd or is it 3rd cousins…… I love my sister-in-laws and extended family and I know we’ll have a wonderful time with lots of laughs and hugs. Thank you also to my friends and family who are helping my Reconnective practice take shape; the Reconnection teachers and staff, my friends Angela and Jessica and to Ray who helped paint. Priscilla for donating her massage table! Blessings from so many people and I truly appreciate them all! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates! Remember giving thanks and being in a state of gratitude is something to do EVERY day not just once a year! It is a simple thing to do that can take 1 minute 2 times a day and will change the way you look at the world.

Hi Jenny: Thank you for the mention, and for the kind words
I wasn’t even reading blogs at this time last year, and now it’s become such an important part of my life. Your kids are beautiful, I wish you much health and have a very happy Thanksgiving!
Awesome post, Jenny! You nail down the power of gratitude so eloquently. Thank you ^_^
Your kids are beautiful. They have the same eyes.
Akemi “spiritual entrepreneur” @ Yes to Mes last blog post..Reading And Receiving The Reconnection
Hi Marelisa,
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving! Love, Jenny
My pleasure! I fell in love with blogging pretty instantaneously once I was introduced to it as well. The community and kindness as we all support each other is amazing. It’s funny to me how we can be all over the world yet because we are writing about opinions, values and life we can connect on a much deeper level than some people do sharing an office. It has been wonderful when I have gotten to meet bloggers that I have been in contact with in person because that connection and almost a deeper knowing of the person is already in place. Fascinating world we are living in and I am so grateful I found your blog! Thanks for the compliments on the kids – I think they’re pretty cute but I am a LITTLE biased!
Hi Akemi,
All the best Akemi for a happy Thanksgiving! Much love, Jenny
Thanks! I really appreciate your friendship! We’ve already seen each other come so far and I look forward to us celebrating many more successes! Thanks for the compliments on Alex & Christina. They are such good kids — I am very lucky. Now if I could just come up with more reasons to convince Alex why sweatpants are not the best choice of wardrobe for Thanksgiving…. sigh…. well if that’s the biggest of my problems this Thanksgiving then I am one lucky person indeed!
Thank you so much for the compliments on Litemind and the Personal Excellence Project.
The deadline for entering is very, very close and I really appreciate you spreading the word! The more people get involved, the most everyone will get out of the experience.
And yes, you have a lot to be grateful for — great kids!

I agree – it’s so important to remember to be grateful.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for the links. Happy Thanksgiving to you and to your family.
Vered
Thanks Jenny for the kind words – and your support! (I’ve finally made it over here, as I have had personal things to deal with and then computer problems yesterday – my computer is just limping along at the moment – which I should be grateful for, considering its state of health, heheh – and then I saw my EC is here today!)
Cheers – and happy holidays – R

Hi Robin,
My pleasure. Good luck with everything and thank you again for motivating me to learn how to record audio! Wishing you all the best!
Hi Evelyn,
Thank you! They are sweeties and I am very lucky. Interesting having 2 because I am always amazed at JUST how different they are. I loved seeing pictures of your girls on your site as well — they are so pretty!
Love,
Jenny
Hi Jenny!
Well you had me at the first line! Although our Thanksgiving here passed over a month ago, I too have greatly decreased my interest in this holiday and do not participate in the hustle and bustle of it as I too truly believe that we should live in thanks and gratitude EVERY DAY! There is always something to be grateful for. in fact when I drive to work in the morning, I tell myself I will list 5 things I am grateful for today and I end up with a list of much more than just 5 items!
Thank you for listing all the other wonderful blogs you enjoy! I will have to check them out. I have already been reading Lance’s for a while now and it is as great as you say!
Finally – your kids are very beautiful – they are so blessed to have a mom like you who can teach them so much wisdom about life right from the start!
Evitas last blog post..The Art and Science of Meditation
Hi Evita,
Thank you so much for your kind words. Gratitude is by far my favorite daily tool to use — especially if I feel myself getting riled up about something. It helps me to refocus and really concentrate on WHAT matters most in my life. Driving is a perfect time for reflection for gratitude and that is wonderful that you set the intention then to be mindful of it all day. Thanks Evita for your thoughtful comment!
Love,
Jenny
This is a great list of blogs to give thanks to during this season of thanksgiving. I am also participating in Luciano’s project!
Stacey / Create a Balances last blog post..Free eBook – How to Practice the Art of Life Balance
Hi Stacey,
Thank you! All these great projects taking place! Thank you so much for all the obvious time you put into creating the ebook which is the collection of wonderful posts from your group writing project. I look forward to promoting it — there are WONDERFUL articles in there! Great getting to know you Stacey and I really enjoy your writing and blogs message. Life seems to move so fast these days with so many distractions constantly being thrown at us. It is important to maintain some kind of balance in life for our sanity and well being!
Thanks again.
Love,
Jenny
Jenny Mannions last blog post..Gratitude and Giving Thanks
Gratitude is something that people often learn when they no longer have something or, when they are brought face-to-face with the possibility that will happen. Life experience is a wonderful techer. It reminds us we have the power to love and are always loved, regardless of our conditions. To be grateful for what we do not see or choose to notice is an evolving ability in everyone. It grows alongside awareness of love.
Liara Coverts last blog post..Revise your view of pride
Hi Liara,
You are so SO right! It IS being aware of what we often overlook being grateful for! Electricity, warm clothes, food, clean air… all of these are such gifts yet they are often overlooked. I believe it does grow alongside with love and I am filled with love and gratitude for my journey and for people like you who have made it such an eye-opening and beautiful experience!
Love,
Jenny
