In some ways it is hard to believe it has been over 2 years since this blog began (August 2007)! In other ways my life is so totally different — it feels like decades must have passed. 
I would not be here, still writing, still exploring different modalities of healing naturally if it was not for the support of my readers, friends and family. This blog also enabled me to find out about Reconnective Healing which is now a very important part of my life. I would like to take the time to tell you a little about what I have learned this year, say a few thank yous and also tell you a little about what to expect from Heal Pain Naturally as it enters its new year.
Lessons Learned
This past year (since August ‘08) combined my intentions to forward my spiritual growth, connect in my community and concentrate on financial abundance. Well parts one and two of those intentions surpassed even my wildest imagination and now it is time for the third intention to expand its manifesting!
Spirituality
I have seen much growth in this area and the more I see the more I want to expand and be open to new growth as well. I have learned that NOTHING is beyond the realm of possibilities. My work with Reconnective Healing has deepened my meditation practice, connected me more with my inner self than I thought possible and opened my eyes to the facts that “so called miracles” happen each and every day. I have read many books in the last year that have helped with my spiritual development. Some of which are:

My work with Slade Roberson of “Shift Your Spirits” helped me tremendously which I wrote about in “Do you Want to Get in Touch with Your Inner Psychic and Intuition?“. Slade’s work and writing are true treasures in my life. Thank you Slade for your friendship and for all you do.

Evelyn Lim of Attraction Mind Map and I have been on spiritual journeys that have been very similar at times and very different at others. Community
Through my love of The Reconnection I found the movie The Living Matrix. I fell in love with the movie and knew I wanted to bring it to more people. It explained some of what I had experienced as a Reconnective Healing Practitioner and also elaborated on many modalities and the science behind Information and Energy Medicine. I decided I wanted to bring it to my community and even though the movie’s brilliant Producer, Susan Becker, told me how much work it would be – I truly had no idea. Organize an event for 500 with no prior experience adding a Q&A with renowned speakers afterward? “No problem”, I thought! Thankfully Susan also told me I would need help and I quickly learned how to reach out and ask for help (an issue I have ALWAYS struggled with). My friend Amy Park, local healers in my community like Diana Friedell and the wonderful ladies from the not for profit that sponsored the event Unity Wellness, (Cindy Staffin, Dawn Briggs and Lisa King) ALL helped tremendously to make this an event we will all remember for a long time.
In the process of organizing The Living Matrix event I realized how important it was for all the healers in our community to gather, network, support and learn from each other. I am happy to say this project enabled us to begin a monthly “Calling All Healers” meeting in my community. Last count there are 56 healers signed up and that number rises every month. I cannot express how much it means to connect with so many like minded people right here in Oneonta, NY! This project enabled me to get to know many people here and reinforced just how important it was for me to reach out and connect not only online but in my town as well.
My community online continued to grow this year and I am so very grateful for the new friends online that I have met. In last year’s post “Heal Pain Naturally celebrates 100th post and 1 year Anniversary” I mention 50 writers that I met my first year and still adore. There are blogs and sites online where there is SUCH a strong sense of community and here are a few of my favorites:

WD Favour of Discover Yourself! — Who would have thought a Christian Pastor in Africa and an openly spiritually seeking women in upstate NY would form a good friendship? Not I, WD! But boy am I glad we have. You are so inspirational and I love that we can look to what we share in our beliefs rather than perhaps squabbling over where we don’t align. Our friendship is an example that we are all connected and we can all agree and celebrate what we All KNOW is true. Financial
Ahhh, this has improved already and BOY AM I GRATEFUL FOR THAT! I spent the summer promoting a not for profit event and organization I believe in whole heartedly and now it is time to concentrate on my own financial wellness. How will I do this?
I am creating video products for IAmplify which I will talk more about soon — I love the company and am so excited to pursue this!
I have expanded my Reconnective Healing practice. Before The Living Matrix event MOST of my practice was distance healing. Now my local practice is expanding and I have an equal amount of distance and in person clients. My schedule is getting very full and the more I do Reconnective Healing work the more I love it.
I took a wonderful class with the beautiful Andrea Hess called “The Abundant Healer” which I learned a lot from – turns out I sure did have a LOT of limiting beliefs about being a healer and making money — thanks Andrea for shining a light on those issues. I have already been applying the lessons to my life and look forward to continuing to do so.
Last year I spent a lot of time learning. I know I will ALWAYS continue to do that BUT it is time to put my knowledge into products. I am so very grateful for all of my friends online and in person! I have friends all over the world and I have learned that you do NOT have to be standing next to someone to become good friends. The people mentioned above have all touched my life in major ways over the last year even though I have not yet met them in person. When I have met fellow bloggers or online friends in person there is that instant connection and ease. I cannot thank everyone enough for your kind words and support.
In my “daily in person life” I have several people that have meant the world to me this last year and I would not be here today without their love and support.
Ray — My husband and my best friend. I fall more in love every day and could not have imagined where we are right now and love the thought of where we are going. We have supported each other through some “pretty rough times” and to see the ease and love just open up more in our daily lives brings me tears of gratitude. Alex & Christina – My wonderful children. Ages 6 and almost 10 — they make me smile and get silly and show me life is not as serious as I sometimes see it. They are smart, aware, kind and are both gifted healers as they heal me every time I look into their eyes or receive a hug. Having them learn Reconnective healing with the lovely Holly Hawkins and Reconnective Kids! was beautiful and I am so proud that they can now apply this to help themselves and others.
My parents and step parents — Mom & Whitney and Dad & Darcy — words can’t say how much we appreciate your help, your love of us and the kids, my “40th birthday Macbook” and your continued generosity, belief in us and the example you show us with how to be good parents. I love you and am so grateful for all you do and are.
Friends – Angela, Leslie, Amy — you guys rock! Seriously – I haven’t had friends I could tell anything and everything to in a long time and I appreciate you more than I can say. Walks, laughing til I cry and my face hurts, long talks on spirituality and everything else , good ole dancing – I know no matter WHAT it is I need — you guys are here for me and it means the world to me! Veronica, Julie – my beautiful sister in laws Trish, Kathy and Maureen — I love you all and the example of how you live your lives is a constant inspiration to me. I am blessed to have many friends in my life — I can’t name you all here but know I do love and appreciate all of you. Thanks so much to those of you who made it witness me turning the BIG 4-0 – it was my best party yet!. I am also always meeting new friends — especially through my last project and through gathering all the local healers — your support and love is so greatly appreciated… I feel so very fortunate to live where I live and to be bringing my children up here. From belly dance with Caroline to yoga dance with Patti – thank you – time to get back into work outs full swing and boy am I grateful to have you two encouraging me!!!!!
Looking forward
I talked above about some of what I anticipate looking forward. I also think it is important to tell you the future of how I see this site:
1) I will be re-doing it a bit and it might even include a new theme if I find one I like. The last one took me months to find so it might take a while! if you see any that have a good feel that you think I could customize to work…please forward along. I will also be re-doing parts of my website and will be updating my testimonials, start here and about me pages so it is even easier to access information.
2) I will continue to write about and welcome posts on different healing modalities and personal development (mind/body) strategies.
3) I hope to get my monthly newsletter back on track. If you have not signed up for it — please enter in your email address to the right in the Subscribe HERE box. The newsletter will have my favorite posts and resources of the month as well as any announcements, specials and/or promotions.
4) As you have noticed I have written a LOT about Reconnective Healing in the last few months. This is a very important part of my life but I realize this is not a Reconnection blog but one for every modality. Since it is a part of my life there will be occasional posts and announcements as well as the constant adding to my testimonials page. When there is important stuff such as the upcoming Mastery Conference in LA and Amsterdam and the LA Egyptian Theater Presentation of The Living Matrix I might post briefly about it or include it in my newsletter – but this blog will continue to be about ALL modalities.
5) I have not added any heroes to my Heroes of Healing list in a few months. I would like this to change. I would like to open this up to WRITERS who feel inspired to write and do not see a person that influenced them on my list. If you feel inspired to write about someone please email me for further clarification. All writers are welcome. You can also check out Heroes of Healing to get an idea of what those posts look like. It is an excellent reference that is a group writing project put together by over 30 wonderful writers and that features over 50 inspirational people that have helped to empower MANY.
6) I will be looking to post once/twice weekly on Heal Pain Naturally and once/week on my Non Violent Computer Game Recommendations for Kids Blog. I will also look to find new posts on modalities not mentioned yet on my blog or about personal stories of healing that people want to share.
7) I will keep this a positive uplifting space. I have definitely gotten more spam and comments poo-pooing or insulting this or that recently. I might not believe 100% in what one teacher, movie, modality says but what I do is concentrate on the positive I get out of something. I long ago learned concentrating on “the one PERCEIVED negative” or thing I don’t agree with does not get me anywhere. We do not have to agree 100% with ANYONE or ANYTHING else — if you find one sentence from a movie or teacher it can surely change your life – it doesn’t matter if you don’t agree with ANYTHING else that person says. I write about different modalities because I feel we are all different and will resonate with different words/methods. I think of this blog as a spiritual toolbox and as such you will not find negativity here but things to inspire and empower. If anyone wants to debate this or that there are many appropriate places for that online. My blog is a place for peace, empowerment, tolerance and healing.
Products. As I mentioned above — I will have products through I Amplify – I will also be looking to write more and bundle products. If anyone has any ideas for issues, topics they would like discussed — please feel free to contact me.
9) Expanding knowledge – the more I learn the more I realize I will be a perpetual student. Even if I were to try and become an expert in “healing” I would be reading every day and still learning indefinitely. I am so very grateful for a few books I learned from this year and please continue to send me recommendations! Some of my faves in the healing realm are:

Conclusion
Ahh Jenny is back – whoo hoo am I happy – yep babbling away once more! Yes, my thoughts have wandered to “how are the kids doing today in school?” a few times but wow does it feel good to have quiet time at home to concentrate on work! I LOVE what I do. I LOVE writing and learning about healing. I love coaching and working as a Reconnective Healing Practitioner. I love taking yoga dance and belly dance. I love taking time to spend with my kids, family and wonderful friends. I LOVE meeting new people online and in my community. As you can tell it has been an exciting time for me and I know the future will only be even more exciting! Thank you, everyone who has helped and supported me. I LOVED reading about your reading with Akemi! Wow! I was very moved and fascinated by mine as well.
Funny you mention Steve Pavlina… when I began blogging I met him in person at a meet-up he and Erin had in NYC. I was newly healed and was going about promoting what I was about all the wrong way and poking my head in forums telling people they could heal themselves and strangely got a lot of bad emails from it!
I asked Steve how he did it when I know he stirs up emotions and receives back lash comments — he told me he only pays attention to the good. I continue to do that and that is why I can continue blogging. My comment here was to make it clear un-nice comments will not be published. 
I like and honor the feeling of peace here and love that people can visit and not be concerned about seeing disparaging remarks. 
After Steve told me that I concentrated on the good and the bad fell away…..
I get so many thanks and warm emails daily and they mean the world to me. I am very grateful for the people in my world online and off and honestly I am amazed in some ways 2 years has gone by! I remember needing 40 posts to get my blog reviewed and it seemed like it would be YEARS to get there!
I am so happy you get to write more and live your passions Evita. The world is lucky to have you in it and I am so excited to see what you continue to manifest and contribute!

Your words mean so much Lance – thank you. Love is the emotion I try to be in at all times… coherent… my body’s energy regulating itself to it’s fullest capacity and I notice more easily now when I am not there! Doesn’t mean I don’t get annoyed or rattled — but I am doing better at getting myself back and ask myself through the day if I am in fact in a coherent state… helps me to do those check ins!
Having “pain” be the first emotion I felt for so long — feeling healthy, grateful, aware all makes it pretty effortless to feel love these days! I love passionately what I do, where I live, who I spend time with on and offline, how I feel physically and emotionally… all these things help ground me in love. My life is so much more than I pictured for sooo long.

It was interesting to read about Steve’s comments to you on negative feedback. I am practising taking the bad as well as the good these days with my blog and my practice. I noticed that occasionally I can react with negativity to something because I know that it’s true and it pushes a button in me. So if I get a reaction, I guess I at least made some think in some way!!
