As the end of the year approaches there are many habits we look to including setting intentions or resolutions.  Taking time to take stock in where you are NOW, where you have come from and where you want to be is very helpful in attracting your wants and desires to you.  I have listed ten writing exercises to help point you in the right direction.  Whether you do one or all ten — each will bring you closer to manifesting your deepest desires and a happier and healthier new year.

Last Spring my friend Amy and I went to visit a mutual friend Swamiji (Swami Sadashiva Tirtha) as he performed music and spoke at a local Health food store in our area. We were sitting around talking and my friend Amy asked Swamiji WHY he wore orange every day.  His smiling answer was, “Because it is such a simple thing to do that brings me joy. It is so important to find your joy and live it”.  Then he turned to us and asked, “what brings YOU joy?” I immediately knew my answer was “dance” but the truth was I had not been dancing regularly in a few years – THIS was what made me change that and realize YES, we NEED to live our joy.  Living our joy connects us with that deepest part within us,

‘Tis the Season to Be Kind to Yourself Too

holiday pictures“Tis the Season” can definitely have very different meanings and for some people it means; stress, discomfort, “obligations”, illness and just plain unhappiness.  Some feel forced to see relatives they do not particularly care for or hang out at office parties with people they are not hugely fond of.  MANY feel they need to spend outside their means to get gifts.  A few are plagued by memories of past holidays gone wrong.  Some have already gone into hibernation mode of winter with the shorter hours of sunlight weighing heavily on them.  There is a NUMBER ONE thing I would like my readers to try to do this holiday season and that is “PLEASE BE KIND TO YOURSELF”.  Yes, it is the season of giving and I feel pretty confident saying most of us are concentrated right now on WHAT we
