Talking Books TV – An Interview on Healing

Posted by Jenny Mannion On April - 8 - 2010

For the last three years the incredible Corinne Edwards and Michelle Vandepas have been a source of endless inspiration to me.  I am incredibly honored to have been interviewed by Corinne and to be a part of their Talking Books TV website and author promotion. I would love to tell you a little about each woman, their Talking Books TV website and show you my interview.  Talking about my ebook has gotten me even more excited to finish my book, “How to Heal by Awakening into Consciousness” to move forward in the Next Top Spiritual Author Competition.  It is my pleasure to present these two women and their work to you.

Help Me Win The Next Top Spiritual Author Contest

Posted by Jenny Mannion On March - 29 - 2010

I am happy to announce I have entered the incredible competition being run by James Twyman and Robert Evans for “The Next Top Spiritual Author“. It has been a longgg time coming that I wrote a book and this was JUST the motivation I needed to pull it all together. :-) I have had so much fun writing for the last two and a half years on this blog and have learned so much in the process. I have loved researching and learning about healing, consciousness and spirituality and it is an honor to be pulling it all together for my book. I am passionate about these topics and it is a joy to tell you about my book “How

Don’t Give Up — Surrender Instead to Heal and Move Forward

Posted by Jenny Mannion On November - 5 - 2009

ray jen halloweenI broke down into tears this week as I was in Savasana after my yoga dance class.  Deep waves of gratitude filled me as I remembered that 4 years ago the doctors agreed I WOULD be in a wheelchair and I was advised that I should not be taking yoga dance.  I had given up hope of dancing regularly ever again.  Instead, I have not only healed myself of all the dis-eases but 4 years later I am almost 3 years healed and I am healthier than I remember EVER being.  I joined a belly dance troupe recently (at 40 years of age) and enjoy yoga dance class every week.  I had all but given up on myself but it was in surrendering that the resources to heal came into my life. There is

The Reconnection – A Form of Healing Like No Other

Posted by Jenny Mannion On November - 21 - 2008

My regular readers know I have one goal for this blog: To represent many different forms of healing, varied teachers and personal development resources so ANYONE that visits can find something they resonate with. When you resonate with something you truly FEEL a deep connection and you know it is something you will gain value from by pursuing. EVERYONE is different and even as you go through different phases in your life techniques, modalities, teachers will change depending on WHERE you are and WHAT you need. It is important to be conscious of where you are in your life and the fact that there is more to you than skin, bones and the automatic pilot you may have been on. There are so many different healing modalities I have come across in my studying…

Art — Spiritual and Healing

Posted by Jenny Mannion On October - 31 - 2008

Art is spiritual and healing in a multitude of ways. You need not be a professional artist to benefit from expressing yourself through art. You do not need to be an art connoisseur to be moved to tears of joy from the beauty of a painting or another art form.

Art is an expression that comes from within and brings to life a vision the artist has had in their conscious or subconscious.

I was always drawn to artists growing up . I made some friends by blatantly staring in awe at their DOODLES in school. Growing up in NYC ensured I went to plenty of museums and galleries. Wow have I seen some beautiful creations. Art is everywhere in so many forms and I would like to share with you…

When the Student is Ready — the Teacher Will Come

Posted by Jenny Mannion On January - 22 - 2008
I have heard the above quote so many times in my life and at least ten times in the last week. Okay Universe — I am listening and this is a WONDERFUL topic for me — thank you! This quote is so true and I love reflecting back on how this was integral in my healing. It continues to be true and a part of my growth. As I learn more I become more open and the opportunities to keep receiving knowledge continue to present themselves from various “teachers”.
While ill I was resentful, felt “why me”, was a victim of my illnesses and I let myself be defined by my illnesses. I was Jenny — “the chronically ill and chronically in pain mommy”. I THOUGHT I was helping myself

Experience the Joy in Learning Something New — Find Your Passion!

Posted by Jenny Mannion On January - 9 - 2008

I grew up in NYC where I was fortunate enough to have tons of opportunities to try different activities. My parents introduced me to everything from dance, guitar lessons, acting classes, swimming lessons and anything else they could come up with for me to try. I am the same way with my children and if they show an interest in ANYTHING I will sign them up. I feel experiencing these things is the only way you will know if you have that passion for them.

So what is it about when we become adults that stops a lot of us from trying new things or educating ourselves in something new? Fear of failure? Fear of how we’ll look doing something new? Fear of the unknown? How will you know what you are…
