As a new school year begins in the US I have been busily figuring out my schedule and time allotment for when my children return and I return to work on a more full time basis.  I have kept the same rates for two years and will be raising them the first week of September.  I am working on several projects and will only be able to dedicate a certain number of hours weekly to seeing clients this fall.  If you contact me before this Friday, September 3, 2010, you can pay the discounted rate and schedule an appointment for any time in September. So I don’t think forgetting your blog’s anniversary (August 1) is nearly the same as forgetting your wedding anniversary but I still felt badly about it! Is “forget” the correct word? I have been so caught up with life and living it this summer that it just did not fully make it to my consciousness – ok, so yeah I did forget! . In reflecting on the last three years writing for this blog I realize how many ways writing has been healing on so any levels. Occasionally a book comes along that you physically cannot put down.  It draws you in, moves you and does not let go.  “The Barn Dance” by James Twyman IS such a book.  It is written from James’s personal experience about contact with his ex wife, Linda 3 1/2 years AFTER she was brutally murdered.  Call it a lucid dream, call it a world between worlds where the veil is thin… James came back from the experience with a deep healing and proof he HAD in fact been in contact with Linda. When I was contacted by Amy Whitney, who is the mastermind creator of the amazing Inspirational Transformational TV (a You Tube Channel) I was honored she thought my story was worthy of being included on her wonderful site.  I watched the first few video interviews which made me only want to watch more. They immediately filled me with joy and inspiration as I learned about what people had overcome to be where they are now.  Talking with Amy beforehand to arrange her (over four hour) trip to visit with me was lovely but I did not have a full grasp on what an incredible person I was about to meet. I previously reviewed The Shadow Effect movie by Debbie Ford which featured many inspirational leaders offering tools and advice to help us face our inner shadow.  The Shadow Effect book is a collaboration from a few of my favorite authors; Dr. Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson and Debbie Ford.  It is a deeper exploration of this concept “the shadow” and offers many insights to shed light on your shadow.
