I broke down into tears this week as I was in Savasana after my yoga dance class. Deep waves of gratitude filled me as I remembered that 4 years ago the doctors agreed I WOULD be in a wheelchair and I was advised that I should not be taking yoga dance. I had given up hope of dancing regularly ever again. Instead, I have not only healed myself of all the dis-eases but 4 years later I am almost 3 years healed and I am healthier than I remember EVER being. I joined a belly dance troupe recently (at 40 years of age) and enjoy yoga dance class every week. I had all but given up on myself but it was in surrendering that the resources to heal came into my life. There is a HUGE different between giving up…

Don’t Give Up — Surrender Instead to Heal and Move Forward
A Healing Exercise
I was feeling pretty out of sorts recently and was wondering HOW I was going to find the answers I was seeking and feel better quickly. I decided a walk with my MP3 player was a good place to start. I set my IPod to Shuffle and set my intention and prayer to the Universe — Please show me by the songs what I need to do. I was pleasantly surprised when the first song came on and was exactly what I needed to hear. I did it with other questions that have been popping up in my life and answer after answer came – in the form of lyrics in songs – some I had never heard but were B-tracks off of CD’s I had uploaded. The walk in nature and the answers I received followed by a rainbow…

As people who know me are aware, I LOVE “LOVE”. I was extremely touched when I heard about “The Love List Project”. The premise is simple; think and share what you love and WHY. The WHY adds another dimension and this project had me thinking a LOT this week. In saying WHY you love something you not only connect with that person/thing more deeply but you also shine light on your inner self. It is healing to concentrate on what you love in your life and why. This project inspired me so much that I wrote a poem about SOME of the things/people I love and why. Thanks to my friend Lance, from Jungle of Life for sharing this wonderful idea by Kristin Tennant. If people took the time to think…
Happy Belated 2nd Anniversary Heal Pain Naturally
In some ways it is hard to believe it has been over 2 years since this blog began (August 2007)! In other ways my life is so totally different — it feels like decades must have passed.
I would not be here, still writing, still exploring different modalities of healing naturally if it was not for the support of my readers, friends and family. This blog also enabled me to find out about Reconnective Healing which is now a very important part of my life. I would like to take the time to tell you a little about what I have learned this year, say a few thank yous and also tell you a little about what to expect from Heal Pain Naturally as it enters its new year.

I knew after I saw The Living Matrix how important it was and that I wanted to bring it to the masses. I watched it a few times for it to sink in and to finish my review. At the end of my review I said I wished I could buy a copy for everyone but since I’m “not quite THERE yet”
I thought the next best thing would be bringing it to my community. It is official. Oneonta is hosting THE New York Premiere of The Living Matrix movie in Oneonta, NY on August 30, 2009 at 3:00PM. It is on the beautiful SUNY Oneonta College campus in the Hunt Union Ballroom which can seat 800 people. We are finalizing guest speakers for a…
Healing Lesson From The Labyrinth
I was told in advance that the Crystal Labyrinth I was going to with my friend Amy was “magical”. Lately I have been told frequently to “look to nature” for answers, clarity and healing and this experience surpassed all my expectations. I had several lessons “shown” to me in the Labyrinth by just being conscious with nature and the one I want to share is one I feel many mothers can benefit from. I look forward to sharing my lesson learned from a mommy bird and her young and ask you to share lessons you have learned from nature.
The above picture is the center of the Crystal Labyrinth. My friend Amy and I had walked for an hour and a half to reach the center. We both walked slowly taking in all the…

Becoming a mother is life changing. I am fortunate enough that my mother was a role model for me so I had an inkling of what to do and advice as to what to do.
In being a coach I have met a lot of women whose lives BECOME being a mom and who can use some healing for themselves. Women are so powerful yet we sometimes do not give ourselves the credit we so deserve. I would like to give thanks to my mother, tell you some of the joys of being a mother, show gratitude for Mother’s Day and also give mothers a few tips to keep happy WHILE doing all the “jobs” a mom does.
My Mother
Geri, Geraldine, JJ, Mom, Mima — my mom is known by many names and all…

Since healing myself over two years ago I just EXPECT health. The past week I have had my voice disappear, sporadic headaches and just general “yucky” feelings in and around my head and throat. I have only been to the doctor (besides yearly check-ups) maybe 2 times over the past two years and that is from someone who USED to be there there 2-3 times a week! So when I DO feel “a bit off” I know I need to analyze WHY this happened. I know our health is a culmination of MANY factors in our life and I want to share those with you as well as some of the lessons I as a healer have learned (AGAIN) over the last week being less than 100% healthy.
OUR BODY IS OUR VESSEL NOT WHO WE ARE
I am very…
