My husband and I have been playing this online word game for the last couple of years called Word Sandwich. It’s premise is an easy one — guess the target word (the word in the middle). You enter in a word and narrow it down alphabetically. If you enter a word that is before the word in the alphabet it goes above, if it goes after it is below. Keep narrowing it down until you guess. The longer you take and the number of guesses decrease your score. Most importantly if you keep the guesses coming fast it keeps the multiplier at 4x/score which helps the overall score. 5 words make up your total score. FUN, EDUCATIONAL and ADDICTING! Ages 8 and up to really be able to play well but it’d be fun to show younger ones how it works. FUN to play with more than one person.
The next is No Brainer. No Brainer is from Shockwave. If you go to shockwave.com you cna automatically play TONS of free games to play online or download. For a small fee you can have access to thousands more games. They have the games easily categorized and LOTS of fun stuff for all ages of kids and adults. No Brainer is a BIG brain and with it you have to use your mouse to either shake the head up and down for “yes” or side to side for “no”. They’ll give you a clue like “Things you can Catch” and then start the timer and the clues to say yes or no to. This game is fast paced and addicting. My 8 year old can play and that is probably the youngest I would recommend it for. Adults have TONS of fun with this one as well.
Shockwave is a GREAT site worth checking out. They have a lot of the newest games and tons of old ones as well. They have games for everyone in the family. Our whole family enjoys this site.
