Poisson Rouge is a very different and fun online game/educational site for pre-schoolers. It is totally safe as there is no advertising. There are lots of activities and this remains one of my 5 year olds favorite all time sites to visit. Click on the image or fish to get you back to the main page and let your child wander and have fun and learn on this pretty and wonderfully sounding site.

Poisson Rouge offers:

Fun Dot to Dot Games – Connect the dots in space either freehand or using numbers

Poisson Rouge is a French site so you can do your ABC’s in French, English or Spanish

Puzzler is a fun game in which you pick the shape you want to put together with puzzle pieces.

123′s is a good way to learn numbers and has funny sounds and graphics to entertain young ones.

Aquarium is a good game to teach young ones mouse skills — move the little fish to eat the yucky stuff off of the whale as the whale moves through the screen

Toy Box — Once you pop the bubbles you get to play with whatever toy you clicked to begin the game with — fun and holds the child’s attention as they want to see what all the toys do.

Paint — Nice simple paint program — color in the butterfly, robot etc. using the paint brush — also VERY good for mouse skills

Board Game — Simple board game similar to Chutes and Ladders but with ladybugs and vines… good for learning how to count

Those are my daughter’s favorites (and mine) but there are many others to check out on this site. I love sites like these because they are specifically designed with the young child in mind. Check out Poisson Rouge with your preschooler –you won’t be disappointed.

I taught kids through computer games for many years in NYC. There are many educational games that are FUN as well. There is no need for your child to play games with violence. I only recommend quality and safe games and sites here.
