By combining their talents the kids begin to see how they can effect change in the lives of others and in their communities. This is such an inspiring series and it is “cool” as well and will appeal to kids, tweens and adults as well. Caduceus:

Children are transported to the mythical land of Alterica where they play an online adventure game filled with many puzzle games. Their quest is to find a cure for a deadly virus that is devastating the land. The kids are healers in this fantasy world and assume the roles of both a research scientist and a doctor. The games are logic and skill based and are a lot of fun. The graphics for the adventure game are phenomenal.

Kids Videos:

Children directed and produced videos to document inspiring treatment provided to children at Children’s Hospital Boston. Kids get a real life glimpse into the life of children who have overcome diseases. This makes it more real to children and will fill them with compassion as well as hope should they ever be faced with illness themselves or watch someone close to them go through it.

I don’t know about you but I find it very difficult to be hungry even for a few hours — for many their life consists of being hungry on a daily basis. Please take a minute and help them out and sharpen your vocabulary at the same time. Do it with your kids as a way to educate them about hunger and about helping people in need. The vocabulary varies in difficulty but even if you get some wrong it won’t take away the rice you already have won.
