  1. I’d like to share another excellent online game for tweens – BinWeevils.com. It’s a 3D virtual world, which focuses on three main areas: entertainment, education and social aspect. It also aims to create emotional bond between children and their avatars by giving them an opportunity to create their weevil and then to look after it. Kids are encouraged to look after their weevils by: feeding them regularly and choosing only healthy food, keeping them active though jumping and other exercising, and keeping them happy though watching videos in the cinema or interacting with friends online.

The idea is to educate children on healthy lifestyle so they can be able to replicate this in their real life.
Another educational aspect of Bin Weevils is teaching kids to budget management. Kids are able to earn “mulch” (the online currency) by play games like completing crosswords and word-searches, or taking part in missions or treasure hunts, for instance. They can they spend their virtual money on new furniture for their homes, called “nests”, or to buy airplane tickets to explore a whole new island environment within the Bin.

Although signing up to the site is free, parents can sign their children up to an expanded version provides the player with more online features, an option for kids to create their online business like having a magazine, photo studio or hosting virtual DJ parties for their friends.

I taught kids through computer games for many years in NYC. There are many educational games that are FUN as well. There is no need for your child to play games with violence. I only recommend quality and safe games and sites here.
