Aligned & Inspired Monday – Reba Linker

AIM Spotlight, Empowerment, Self-love

I met Reba about year ago through LinkedIn and we agreed to talk by Skype as we saw we had much in common. When Reba and I spoke we knew we were kindred spirits as we spoke about self love, spirituality, life in NYC and so much more.  It was an over two hour call and we left knowing we could have easily talked for two more and still needed more time. Reba interviewed me for her show “Paint Yourself Into the Picture”  and we had such a wonderful time connecting.  Reba leads a group “Leaders in Self-Love” on Facebook where I found out we have many mutual friends and she is a constant source of inspiration.  She has such a comfortable, loving and genuine nature that exudes from her.  Every interaction with Reba makes me feel love, authenticity and her desire to truly be of service to others to help them come into their own self-love and therefore, power .  We share similar beliefs and goals and Reba is truly an inspiration to many. It is my great honor to introduce you to Reba Linker.

AIM Spotlight for Reba Linker

1) Please tell us a quote that you aim to live by- whether it be your own or from someone else that has inspired you.

“We are all faced with a series of the greatest opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.” – Shanta

This quote is by my spiritual teacher, Shanta, who I had the privilege to study with for over 30 years.

In fact, she cross-stitched these words on a pillow, which she then drew out of a bag at random as her students lined up to receive their gifts one holiday season, so it was truly meant for me. (How sweet is that – a spiritual teacher who cross-stitches pillows for her students!)

When I first saw it, I inwardly groaned, which kind of tells you how badly I needed that message!  All I could see was ‘obstacles’ and now all I can see is ‘opportunity’!  Yep, I really needed that message!

2) Tell us about a moment when one of your greatest shifts occurred in your life or in one of your clients’ lives.

Lol. See the above!

It really was a gradual process for me. First, seeking a way out of the pain I felt. That’s how I found my teacher.  Then it was learning, learning, learning, and needing to understand what life was all about.

Then, in the last few years, there’s been a tremendous integration, taking all the knowledge I’ve absorbed over the years and having it really sink into my heart, my belly and my bones.  It’s been a time of tremendous discoveries for me, in which I am actualizing the teachings in my own way; really loving myself, really expressing my truth, and finally breaking free of the trauma of the past and stepping into the life of freedom, empowerment, joy and love that I’ve always dreamed of and longed for.   I know that it is not ‘out there.’   It is within me.   It’s glorious to know this, it’s even better to live it.

3) Please let us know and describe one to three things that you are passionate about in what you do – (for work or for play or both)

In my work I am absolutely passionate about sharing what I’ve learned and letting others know how magnificent and powerful they really are.  Nothing makes me happier than to see a client own their unique beauty and feel comfortable in their own uniqueness.

I am passionate about my family.  In this, too, I am a late bloomer.  I started my family late in life and now my husband and I have two young children.  As the fulfillment of a long-held dream, it makes being with my family that much more precious and sweet.

Finally, I am passionate about nature.  We’ve been feeding the birds this winter, and the scene in our postage-sized NYC backyard is amazing.  We’ve seen hundreds of blackbirds, sparrows, doves, chickadees, juncos, cardinals and woodpeckers.  The piece de resistence was seeing a falcon perched on our little pear tree right outside our window just this weekend.  A falcon!  Sitting right in front of our window!  That was a gift!

4) If you could give one piece of advice, one action to take, or one tool to empower people right now what would that be?

What you focus on grows: move towards what lights you up, not what shuts you down.  The other piece of advice is instead of asking “why is this happening to me?” try replacing that with: “Why is this happening for me?”  These two ideas can change your life!

5) If you were to offer one of your services or products that best represents what you do, what would it be and how can the readers find out more?

I’ve just been certified in ZPoint Process and TIME Heals angelic healing, along with my usual coaching tools, so there is a lot to choose from.  I like using the different modalities in combination with my clients.

One super exciting thing is I am in the process of creating a healing center that will spotlight different healing modalities and offer members the opportunity to sample them all. The best way to learn more is to be on my list so you will be notified when the healing center opens its doors.

I invite you to sign up for my free gift – Chapter 1 of my bestseller, “Imagine Self-Love”.   This gets you on my list, so you will be the first to know when the healing center opens its doors: http://rebalinker.com/imagine-self-love-free-chapter/
